Marshal Frappier
Sr. Goalie Development Coach

Marshall, from Ottawa, excelled in minor hockey and the CCHL's Nepean Raiders before playing in the OHL. Now coaching at Shift, he's dedicated to developing goalies and fostering their success. Marshall grew up playing minor hockey in Ottawa. In 2016-17 he played for the Nepean Raiders of the CCHL where he was named to the all-rookie team and was selected to represent Team Canada White at the U-17 World Hockey Challenge. Following his stint in the CCHL, he spent three years in the OHL playing for Sudbury, Kingston, and Saginaw. Marshall is taking his knowledge and experience from his playing days and using them to transition into the coaching side. Working with developing goaltenders at Shift has been a great experience so far for Marshall and he is excited to continue helping goalies achieve their goals.

He is now enrolled at the University of Prince Edward Island, where he plays for the Men’s Panthers hockey team and was named an All-Canadian Student-Athlete in 2023-24. Joe has been a part of the SHIFT family for over 10 years, assisting in administration and on- and off-ice coaching. He looks forward to bringing his personal experience and knowledge to the next wave of athletes striving to achieve their goals.

Maude Lavesque-Ryan
Sr. Goalie Development Coach

Maude coached minor hockey goalies from a young age, excelled at the University of Ottawa, represented Canada, and played professionally while coaching in Budapest's developmental leagues. Maude has been coaching minor hockey goalies at different levels since she was 13 years old, gaining coaching experience in the school structure (programme sports-études en français) and coaching at specialized summer camps as well during the majority of her playing career. A member of the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees (2014-2019), where she was named on the first RSEQ all-star team, team MVP and rookie of the year at the university, she was also in charge of the Gee-Gees summer camps as well as the Gee-Gees prospect camps. After representing Canada at the FISU university games in 2019 in Russia (silver medal), Maude played 2 seasons professionally in Kazakhstan and Hungary, earning the bronze (2020) then the gold (2021) in the EWHL championship playoffs. During her playing days in Hungary, she also coached in both the men’s and women’s KMH Budapest developmental structure.

Joe Quatrachi
Sr. Goalie Development Coach

Joe has been coaching since the age of 13, working with many minor hockey teams around the Ottawa area. I began my junior hockey career with Smiths Falls before playing in the AJHL for 2 years. I moved on from junior hockey in 2011 where I played for the Hamilton Continentals in NESCAC (NCAA). Joe holds the record for all-time saves and all-time shots against, surpassing NHL’er Guy Hebert, and is in the top 5 in all-time save percentage in Hamilton’s 100-year hockey history.

Cooper has been coached and mentored by the team at Shift since he first started goaltending 12 years ago. He most recently played AAA U18 for the Smiths Falls Bears and the Ottawa Valley Titans before illness changed his trajectory in the sport.
